The iPhone Pervades Life

With all of the media coverage, you would think the iPhone is a rock start or a politician. It is just a phone.
Or is it? For myself, it is the greatest handheld device yet, and I have tried many. They have all landed up stale in a drawer until the iPhone. It has such finesse and handles the task load so easily that I am constantly amazed by the high performance level and usability in such a small form factor.
The constantly-connected aspect of the phone is wonderful, albeit irritating when a text comes in from Nagios at 3am because Comcast decided to renew my DHCP lease on the cable modem. Bastards!
