“Spot On” at Elements

At my parent’s request, we met for dinner at Elements last night. Fortunately for us, we had reserved the Cube at 8:30pm. The place was packed! It was, after all, the Friday night one week before Christmas.

In spite of the large crowd on a Friday night our party was very well taken care of. Scott and Joe and the entire kitchen put out spectacular food, and the staff served it in a manner enjoyed by the entire table.

A highlight of the meal was a special double-course of truffle tastings. The first was a black truffle broth, followed by a second of fettucini topped with shaved white truffles from Italy. Fantastico! I especially enjoyed the pasta.

Mattias at the bar was really wonderful, providing extraordinarily tasty concoctions. I had some excellent cognac, too!

We are going back for brunch on Sunday, and cannot wait for some more of the truffles atop my eggs. Oh yes, almost forgot, I was gifted a huge tin of Ossetra caviar, my favorite. Will bring that into brunch and give it to the kitchen to make the French scrambled eggs with!
