Spent a lovely day with my wife yesterday celebrating the first day of spring. As is tradition around here, I did a basic cleaning of our Weber barbeque grill and made the first hamburgers of the season outside. They were great! Made some drinks and sat outside for the whole afternoon. I learned that the combination of Captain Morgan’s spiced rum, peach schnapps and cola tastes just like maple, and is eminently drinkable.
It had been a long, hard week for both Naomi and I. We had worked over 70 hours each and were just burnt. Taking the day off provided the needed recharge.
Today we meet with a new accountant. Hope is is competent and personable. He sounded nice over the phone and comes recommended by a friend, so I believe it will work out fine.
