I Have the Power

The power washer that is…

Spent four hours just giving the house and deck a bath. There has been a distinct build-up of grime in certain areas that MUST be gotten rid of, so the TLC was much appreciated by our dwelling. James will pick up where I left off and continue until the entire exterior has been scrubbed clean.

The time away from the keyboard doing something physical was greatly needed. Initially, my plan was to spend an hour or so just cleaning the tables, chairs and the Weber barbecue. I ended up also doing a portion of the desk, the concrete walkway, the sides of the house, etc. A little carried away? You bet! As a result, hands are sore and chapped. Oh well, it was worth it. Nothing a little hand creme and a day or so won’t cure.

Our brunch at Elements was very satisfying. We sat at the Chef’s table in the alcove off the kitchen, and had Joe at his station near us for company for our entire meal. We shared the smoked sturgeon to start. Naomi had the French toast, while I devoured the 24-hour short ribs and eggs with potatoes and toast points. YUM!

We will be going there next Sunday for Mother’s Day brunch. We were a little late making the reservation, yet they were kind enough to seat us in the Cube for the prix fixe meal. They are SO kind to us. We love Elements as much as Ninety Acres. We MUST get back to Ninety Acres ASAP. It has been FAR too long since we have been there, and we miss everyone there as well as the exquisite food. Between finances and schedule, it has been hard to get there as much as we used to.
