How To Fix WPDataTables Error “You are trying to load a table of an unknown type” in WordPress

If you get the following error in WordPress when using the WPDataTables plugin, follow these steps to fix it:
"You are trying to load a table of an unknown type. Probably you did not activate the addon which is required to use this table type."
SOLUTION SUMMARY: You must update the plugin files manually, deactivate then activate the plugin. DO NOT DELETE the plugin, deactivate only!
- Download the package files and extract. Here is a link to the download location which you must login to access: https://codecanyon.net/downloads
- Remove the directory ~/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables (your location may vary widely)
- Upload the wpdatatables directory from the extracted zip package file to the directory ~/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables (your location may vary widely)
- In the WordPress Admin area, select Plugins from the left menu
- Deactivate the wpDataTables plugin, then Activate it once the page refreshes
- Done!
