Florida Take One

We left Savannah Sunday morning and made it to Pompano Beach in 6 hours. Traffic was crowded but moving.
Was so good to see my grandfather. He is alert but weak. We took him to Rotelli’s for supper, a good Italian restaurant chain. I had a stromboli which was excellent.
We were both tired, so we headed to Aventura to Naomi’s cousin’s apartment. What a great job he did with the renovations! Fantastic dark hardwood floors, slick designer furnishings and a spectacular view.
I was hungry so we tried another Italian place on A1A called “Joseph’s on the Water”. Very old-style, very pleasant, outdoor seating right on the Intracoastal. I had blackened snapper and Naomi had shrimp. We got desserts to go since they were closing for the night.
