First visit to Ninety Acres
So far, so good. The staff is nice, the drinks are yummy, and the bread is great. And we got to see our old friend Richard Spaulding, who is the dining room manager there now.
STUPENDOUS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More details tomorrow.
This is food heaven. We have missed David’s cooking in a very big way. Best meal in a very long time. The food is even better now than when he was at the Plucky.
I had the hamachi, the egg appetizer and the fish and chips. Also had a few drinks called the “Fall Back”. Both the food and drinks were OUTSTANDING. Oh yes, and the dessert. I had the ice cream which included vanilla, egg nog and peppermint stick. Exquisitely accurate flavors and smooth, creamy texture. Perfect. Naomi had the pumpkin soup and the scallops, along with the espresso doughnuts with chocolate sauce, All of which was fabulous.
And for the coup de grace…they are very crowded, have two private parties going on, and this is opening week on a Friday night. The executive chef David Felton comes to our table personally with a pumpkin and kale pizza that was just tremendous. This guy has true class, because even with talent like his, he does not forget his old friends on a crazy busy night. He had already come by once to say hello. We love him!
