Today James is here working on the deck and the garage. Yesterday I visited a friend in New Paltz, NY. NYS troopers are now using laser for speed detection. Good thing I was not speeding (much ;-))! Things are still going well with the YouCake™ project. Launching soon!

So we do not have reservations, but we head over to Ninety Acres around 6pm to see if we could get a seat at the bar, or anywhere else for that matter. No such luck. Not a seat anywhere. So we reclaim our car and head south. We end up at a tiny Mexican food […]

We are going to the 7pm Star show and the 8pm Laser Floyd show. The Planetarium is located in the East Building, #9 on the map. The closest parking lots are Lot #7 and #1. The entrance is around the corner from the Gazebo.

So glad to be home! I managed to get a bunch of photos of the Cameron Park Inn while Naomi was getting her pre-travel massage. Click here to see the photos. The drive was long and Route 95 was very crowded. We drove through Washington D.C. just to avoid 95. I think VA was the […]

Heading for home today. Not a moment too soon. The Cameron Park Inn is very pleasant. They simply do not have adequate air conditioning for my needs. We almost drove home last night because the room was so warm. Fortunately we had the wisdom to drive around for a bit to allow the room to […]

Spent the night in Savannah at the Planter’s Inn. We had dinner on our balcony, delivered from the Pink House. Fantastic food. We then got ice cream from Leopolds. They have been in business since 1919, one year after my grandfather was born. Now we are off to Raleigh, NC to visit friends. We had […]

Today we have the special pleasure of spending time at the dentist with my grandfather. Did I mention how much I hate Florida? Tonight we are going out to dinner with Naomi’s cousin to thank him for letting us stay in his apartment. Tomorrow we depart for Savannah, and not a moment too soon.

Seder was very nice last night. My cousin and his wife did an excellent job with the meal. Today we migrate from Naomi’s cousin’s apartment to a guest room at the assisted living facility my grandfather is in. Yuk. Naomi’s cousin is returning from his business trip, so we decided to vacate the one-bedroom apartment. […]

At my cousin Brian’s for First Seder. He has a very nice house on a golf course. Very picturesque. My grandfather is happily drinking Johnny Walker Black. Had lunch at the bagel store. We brought Lorna along, who is my grandfather’s caretaker. Went out for Starbucks while he napped. The weather has finally turned nice, […]

We left Savannah Sunday morning and made it to Pompano Beach in 6 hours. Traffic was crowded but moving. Was so good to see my grandfather. He is alert but weak. We took him to Rotelli’s for supper, a good Italian restaurant chain. I had a stromboli which was excellent. We were both tired, so […]
